Which strap should I choose: polypropylene, polyester or steel?

Polypropylene suits light loads and carton closing; polyester replaces steel on most palletised loads because it absorbs shocks without breaking; steel is reserved for very heavy loads or sharp edges.

Why replace steel strapping with polyester?

Polyester has elastic memory: it keeps tension even when the load settles in transit. It also does not rust, does not cut the product or the operator, and weighs far less.

What do I need to close the strap?

Depending on the system: metal seals with a sealer tool, buckles for manual closing, or friction welding on automatic strapping machines. We supply the strap, the closing consumable and the tool.

How is the right strapping tension calculated?

It must be enough to immobilise the load without marking or damaging the product. It depends on the strap material, the goods and the planned route; we set it with you during commissioning.
